If you find yourself in the quiet countryside of Koloa on the southern end of the island of Kauai, and for some reason start having cravings for a gourmet, yet casual, lunch…then look no further than Merriman’s Gourmet Pizza & Burgers.
My burger cravings led me to Merriman’s Teriyaki Burger. Between the bun I found a grass-fed Makaweli Meat Company beef patty, Kauai Roots watercress, vine-ripened tomato, and house-made teriyaki sauce.
Of course, some fries to go with that burger were in order, so we ordered a basket of Garlic Truffle Fries, topped wth some parsley, parmesan, sea salt, and truffle oil.
Michelle decided on the Roasted Hamakua Mushroom Pizza. The flavors from the Hamakua mushrooms, truffle oil, fontina, tarragon, thyme, and parsley, made for an incredibly indulgent experience.
